The Chinese Dota scene celebrates the first major win of the season. Vici Gaming was able to prevail at the DreamLeague Major in Stockholm after the dominant performance at StarLadder Minor. Apart from the glory, the side secured a prize pool of $ 350,000. Additionally, Vici secured third place in the DPC rankings and guaranteed participation in The International 2019.
Total domination
After two major victories by Team Secret ( Chongqing ) and Virtus.pro ( Kuala Lumpur ), China once again leads the international competition. In the past couple of days, Vici Gaming prevailed against the top teams which include: PSG.LGD, Fnatic Team Secret and Virtus.Pro. In various interviews, the team praised the help of the coach and Dota legend Bai, rOtk ‘Fan, who achieved a second place at The International 2014. In the course of his career. rOtk retired from the active lineup of VGJ.Thunder in June 2017 and since then has been working as a coach for various Chinese teams.
OMG What a DAY!
From not being able to qualify for the Major to 14 days after the #SLi Minor triumph in Kiev, travelling to the #DreamLeagueMajor in Sweden to win the whole thing against @virtuspro in the finals.

The matches of the finale were evenly contested. The first two games of the Best of 5 were fought to the bitter end, taking both 43 and 49 minutes to complete. In both of these games, Vici Gaming was quick to get its hands on Oracle and Earth Spirit. Virtus.pro also repeatedly picked: Razor, Shadow Shaman, and Shadow Demon. Vici Gaming then made short work of the fifth and crucial game of the series. As the Chinese side beat the Russian side before the 22-minute mark.
In addition to Vici’s qualification for The International 2019, the fourth participant of the event is also certain: Evil Geniuses secured enough DPC points in their top 8 placement in Stockholm to be guaranteed a trip to Shanghai. With the four slots already awarded, only eight tickets are left for the TI9. The winners of these last remaining spot will be known in May in Paris. While the season will end with the EPICENTER Major in June.
What a journey for @VICI, from winning the Minor to #DreamLeagueMajor Champions!
