The Nintendo Switch continues to dominate the UK sales charts, with Animal Crossing: New Horizons holding onto the top spot for a second week – despite shedding almost 50% of its sales over the previous seven days. This is to be expected as sales traditionally slump at the start of the year, but the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic – combined with a fresh lockdown in the United Kingdom – has helped shift more than 260,000 boxed games in the past week.

According to our pals over at Gamesindustry.biz, Switch game sales are up over 123% compared with the same week last year, which shows just how strong the company’s grip is on the UK market right now.
