Liquid had a much need boost for the final game: the love of the Brazilian fans. Since the crowd was supporting a familiar face in Liquid’s line up, Jacky “Stewie2K” Yip . The American pro player has already represented SK Gaming and also competed in Made In Brazil’s alongside Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo and company. So Jacky and the team had the support of the home fans, however, it was not enough to take down the mighty Astralis.
Game one
The first map of the best series of three (BO3) was the Dust 2, Liquid’s choice. As terrorists, the Americans won the pistol and started the final with a series of victories. The game was evenly contested after the exchange of sides, but in the end, the Americans drew first blood with a 16-13 win.

Game three
The final match of the series was on Overpass where Astralis brutally ended the hopes of Liquid. By the end of the first half, the Danes took a 13-2 lead on the terrorist side. Even with the support of the Brazilian fans, Team Liquid could not recover and the game ended in 16-2 for the Danes.
MIBR Campaign
The Brazilian lineup arrived at the tournament with a thirst to win at home. MIBR, however, made a disastrous campaign in the championship. Of the five games in the first phase, the Brazilians lost all of them and sat at the last position in the final standings.
BLAST Series SP was the third championship for the new MIBR lineup. The team’s debut was at the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Katowice Major 2019, where the side did well and finished third / fourth. Then the Brazilians participated in WESG. But, despite arriving favorites, they surprisingly lost to Windigo Gaming in the playoffs.
The BLAST Pro Series is a competitive league of CS: GO that was launched back in 2017. This short but very exciting competition takes place in renowned cities around the world. The São Paulo edition was the first to take place on Brazilian soil and awarded a total of US $ 250,000.
