Renegades and Vitality proved that they can do it on the big stage as both began the IEM Katowice Legends stage adventure on a positive note after qualifying from the Challengers Stage.

Renegades were actually the first team to qualify from the Challengers Stage with a perfect record of three victories out of three matches. The Aussie team met another talented team in the shape of ENCE in this opening match of the Legends stage. Renegades were in control of the first couple of rounds playing as Terrorists but ended up losing the first half 10-5. However, the Aussies started the second half much better, with Joakim ‘jKaem’ Myrbostad getting a quad-kill during the pistol round. ENCE still showed some opposition in the game, but it was Aaron ‘AZR’ Ward’s men to win the game 16-13. Joakim ‘jKaem’ was the MVP of the match, as he finished the game with 30 Kills and 17 Deaths.

Meanwhile, Vitality had a tricky Challengers Stage campaign, but it seems that they are now back on track. They met BIG on Mirage two hours ago for their first match of the Legends Stage. Although they were a couple of rounds down in the early part of the match, Vitality responded in a convincing manner, levelling the score at 4-4. They continued in the same manner and secured a 8-7 lead at half-time. The French side increased their advantage by winning the pistol round thanks to doubles from Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut and Cedric ‘RpK’ Guipouy. Finally, Vitality ended the game by winning comfortably 16-11, with Dan ‘apEX’ Madesclaire finishing on 30 Kills and 15 Deaths.
