Ubisoft has announced that Rainbow Six Siege’s next major update will be called Operation Burnt Horizon. The new operation, which will be the first season of content of the game’s fourth year – likely to release in early March – was revealed during a livestream that took place earlier today.

The announcement follows up from an official teaser, which was posted to Twitter last night. That tweet showed off an animated Kangaroo crossing sign, and was simply caption “g’day,” essentially confirming that the next Rainbow Six Siege operation is set to take place in Australia.

That information lines up with a leak from a few weeks ago. While we were initially sceptical, that tweet and today’s reveal suggest that we’ll soon be joining Mozzie and Gridlock – members of Australia’s SASR – in the outback. That’s yet to be officially confirmed, but the likelihood is that the new operators will be revealed during the upcoming Six Invitational. That begins on February 17, and we’re expecting plenty of news on what’s coming to Ubisoft’s shooter in the next 12 months.
