The Apex Legends battle pass has been the subject of rumours and speculation for weeks now, but it looks like the end is finally in sight. An update to the Origin store briefly put the announcement for the battle pass live, complete with a price and a few hints about what this first big content update is going to contain. It’s now been removed, but it lines up with rumours that the pass is set to launch today.

The update featured the headline “Welcome to the Wild Frontier,” next to an image of Octane. Under that, it says “Survive the arena, meet the Apex Games’ latest Legend, Octane, wield new weapons and score unique loot.” The price is set at 950 Apex Coins, or just under $10 USD.

This addition to the store page was picked up in multiple Reddit posts and tweets, so it’s certainly legit – it’s just a question of whether or not the update was meant for today. A leak on the Octane release date suggested he and the battle pass would launch on March 12 – today – and this certainly lines up with that report. The picture of Octane we see here was also provided alongside that rumoured release date.
