Faze and Na’Vi (Natus Vincere) were in the Legends Stage at the IEM Katowice 2019, which means that they haven’t been involved in any official matches last week. However, both teams looked dominant in their opening fixtures and they are now through to the 1-0 pool at the IEM Katowice.

FaZe began their IEM Katowice 2019 adventure with a comfortable 16-4 victory against HellRaisers on Train. We all know that Train is mostly a CT map, but even so, Faze managed to win the first half 11-4. In the second half, the European side didn’t give any chance to their opponents, winning the opening five rounds and ending the match 16-4. Although Nikola ‘Niko’ Kovac is now FaZe’s In-game Leader, he still had an excellent 1.63 rating on the first map, finishing with 20 Kills and 9 Deaths.

Natus Vincere, on the other hand, took on the French side G2 in their opening fixture, and despite being a back-and-forth tie, they still managed a comfortable 16-7 win. The first half of the match was pretty tight, with Na’Vi leading 9-6, but they kicked off the second half with a three-round winning streak. Although everyone expected Aleksandr ‘s1mple’ Kostyliev to lead the scoreboard, it was Ioann ‘Edward’ Sukhariev who ended as the team’s top killer with 23 Kills and 10 Deaths and an impressive 1.68 rating.
