The IEM Katowice 2019 Day 2 saw both BIG and NRG going home, after losing their third consecutive match at the hands of ENCE and compLexity respectively. On the other end of the table, Astralis and Liquid, the #1 and #2 ranked sides in the world, both managed to secure a play-off spot thanks to a 3-0 record. Astralis have struggled a bit against Renegades, but they eventually managed to win the tie 2-1, while Liquid won in two straight maps against NaVi.

With two teams being eliminated and two booking their spot in the quarter-finals, there are only twelve teams left in the Legends Stage, so here are the 2-1 and 1-2 pools with all the sides involved.

2-1 Pool (games being played on Friday):

There are some interesting matches today, with the most expected one by the CS:GO fans being the tie between NiP vs MIBR. Both teams have been up and down throughout this major, but both have shown signs of life of late.

NaVi should be able to secure a comfortable victory against AVANGAR, as they looked very solid against Liquid yesterday despite losing in two straight maps.

Finally, the clash between Vitality and Renegades, which is being played at the moment, seems to be very balanced. The Renegades have won the first map on Dust 2, which was Vitality’s pick in terms of maps, but the French side is having a solid lead on the second map, Cache.
