Round 2 of the playoffs begins this Friday and the two leaders of the LEC will compete for a direct seat for the grand final on Saturday. G2 and Origen meet for a duel for a place in the grand finale.
The top two in the LEC standings, G2 (1st) and Origen (2nd) will meet in a Bo5 series to determine which team is the best. According to analysts and enthusiasts, G2 can win this encounter with ease. But, counting Origen out will be a foolish bet as they have proven themselves to be a force to be reckoned with this season.
A duel of titans in the mid lane
All eyes will be on the mid lane during this Bo5 encounter. Since it will be a battle of the giants between Caps of G2 Esport and Nukeduck of Origen. Slight advantage on the side of Caps who is elected best mid-laner of the LEC, with a World Championship final to his credit. Still, Nukeduck does not have to fall in Cap’s shadow, with his huge pool of 14 champions and his KDA 4.1 against 4 for Caps.
As @G2esports prepares to play @Origengg in the #LEC playoffs, @G2Perkz reflects on the 2019 Spring Split.

Nukeduck is an unpredictable player capable of playing probably all the picks of the mid lane but especially able to choose an unexpected champion. As a reminder, Origen was the first team to win against G2 this season and Nukeduck had opened the game by taking the first blood on Caps with a superb solo kill while playing Zed. These two players with a very different style will have to stand out to lead their team to victory. Nukeduck will have the heavy task of defusing the threat Caps at 550 damage per minute (against 424 for Nukeduck ).
Two convincing teams
If the mid lane is the main highlight for this Bo5, each of the teams showed strengths and qualities in their LEC campaign. G2 was dominant early in the season but had its fair share of troubles in the last weeks. While Origen has experienced a rollercoaster to finally outshine and reach the second place. However, the last weeks of the samurai are not in the form that made them the champions. Once they secured the first place they put their foot off the pedal.

The relaxation harmed the team that had three weeks to prepare and come back in force. These three weeks were crucial in the sense that none of the teams could analyze their opponents. While now they will be playing on the patch 9.6. It has made significant changes that will surely change the drafts of each team.
In the words of Rekkles, after his first playoff game G2 is more to be feared than Origen. G2 has an unpredictable style of play and therefore difficult to counter. This is a meeting that is expected to stand firm and should be full of surprises for the fans of both teams.
