North American esports organisation FaZe Clan has found its latest sponsor in the form of HTC Gaming.
Dennis “Cloakzy” Lepore and Jack “Cizzorz”, two of FaZe Clan’s Fortnite competitors, will headline the sponsorship by broadcasting HTC Vive gameplay on Twitch throughout 2019.

Lee Trink, CEO of FaZe Clan discussed the sponsorship in the announcement: “VR is an exciting part of the next frontier in gaming and FaZe Clan couldn’t be more excited to kick off a partnership with HTC as leaders in this space. We look forward to creating a compelling partnership and welcome HTC as a new sponsor.”
FaZe Clan announced a partnership with automobile company Nissan just last month – it’s also partnered with SteelSeries, SCUF Gaming, and G FUEL. HTC Gaming also sponsors Team SoloMid and Virtuix’s Omniverse esports series.
Andrew Wu, Partner Marketing Manager of Gaming at HTC also commented: “We at HTC couldn’t be more excited to be working with FaZe this year. Partnering with FaZe was a very easy choice for us – they love VR, we love VR, it’s a perfect match. We’re hoping that fans of FaZe Clan will love VR as much as we do after seeing the fruits of our partnership. Be on the lookout for big things from us!”
Esports Insider says: Getting involved with two of FaZe Clan’s most prominent players and content creators makes a lot of sense if you want sheer exposure. VR isn’t the organisation’s bread and butter so it’ll be interesting to see how their audience reacts when Cloakzy and Cizzorz showcase the Vive on-stream.
