The 2022 ceremony will be held at the Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas following a three-year stint at Esports Stadium Arlington in Texas.

The main awards event takes place on December 13th alongside a range of other events, including a Lifetime Achievement Ceremony and Leadership Summit.

Secretlab will collaborate with Esports Awards on activations in addition to sponsoring the Esports Team of the Year award, which was won by the Atlanta FaZe Call of Duty League franchise in 2021.

Verizon will sponsor the ceremony for the third consecutive year, lending its name to the Esports Mobile Player of the Year and Esports Mobile Game of the Year categories. Verizon and Esports Awards will also join forces for activations.

Michael Ashford, CEO of Esports Awards, commented on the move in a release: “We could not be more excited to start building a legacy with Resorts World Las Vegas. We recognize the awards are a deserved end of year celebration and want to build something that caters to delivering a best-in-class experience.

“Resorts World Las Vegas as a venue has been very forward-thinking in attracting top-tier events and to see the support for esports is hugely encouraging. A huge shout out to Destination Esports, Resorts World Las Vegas and Hilton Hotels for making it happen.”

Resorts World Las Vegas is no stranger to esports. In August 2021, the resort secured a deal with North American esports organisation DarkZero Esports to host its players and partners at the resort.

Esports Insider says: Esports Awards has become a staple in the esports events calendar. Renewing its deals with Verizon and Secretlab is a strong step forward for its commercial portfolio. It’s clear both companies see value with their names being attached to the awards.
