Michael Van Driel, Chief Product Officer at DreamHack commented in a release: ”Malmö was the first city to ever host DreamHack Masters and so it holds a special place in all of our hearts, including a legendary win from NiP on home soil. We are tremendously excited to bring CORSAIR DreamHack Masters back to Malmö Arena and fans can expect the best experience yet as we expand to feature matches for 3 days in the arena and continue with more improvements for the visitor experience.”

The next event in the series will take place at DreamHack Dallas over May 28th to June 2nd. 16 teams will compete at CORSAIR DreamHack Masters in both Dallas and Malmö to earn their share of the $250,000 (£190,896.25) prize pool.

Linn Möller-Laketic, Project Manager at Event in Skåne added: “We are very happy to be able to welcome DreamHack back and look forward to a great partnership. DreamHack is an extremely important part of our goal to make Malmö, and the whole region, a part of the international esports scene.”

Esports Insider says: It’s good to see the CORSAIR DreamHack Masters series return to where it all began. The series is a mainstay in the CS:GO community and, if Dallas goes well, hype will be at an all-time high for those in and around the city who enjoy the FPS title.
