PUBG European League (PEL) has already started with day one matches finished. The league will play a vital role to bring the dignity of PUBG in the competitive scale of eSports. But for now, let’s focus on the clear cut winners of the event which might lift up the trophy.

Na’Vi

Natus Vincere – the favorites of the tournament from the CIS. After an unsuccessful performance at PUBG Global Invitational 2018 and subsequent competitions, the organization went for drastic changes, leaving only “Uadshin” Vadim POKAMOLODOY.

Dmitry “Recrent” Osintsev, Artem “Sadovnik” Danilyuk and Alexander “BatulinS Batulin” joined one of the best captains in the CIS. The first time after the reshuffle, the team could not find their game, but by the start of the OGN Super League, the team adapted and performed well, taking first place on the Sanok map.

The changes affected not only the composition but also selectable points for loot. Previously, NaVi landed in Primorsk on Erangel and in Valle del Mar on Miramar – both points are in the lower left corner of the map, which creates problems with rotations when the circle goes to the right side. In the last tournaments, the team from the CIS landed in Pochinki on Erangel and in the Impala on Miramar – from these points, it is easier to move to a new zone, which should help the team to show a stable result.

However, during the tournament, NaVi can change their choice, if other teams will claim their landing points. It is hard to answer that how the team from the CIS will adapt. Nevertheless, NaVi is the strongest team in its region, and it is within its power to impose a struggle on European teams.

Team Liquid

Team Liquid – the main competitor of NaVi. At the last PUBG World Championship, the European team took second place in the first and third person mode. In the first-person mode, Liquid did not have the necessary 205 points to bypass the Chinese who reigned supreme to be the best team in the world. Despite the fact that there were also changes in the composition, the spot of Kieron “Scoom” Prescott was taken by Jerry “Jembty” Kauppinen.

The European team can rightly be called one of the strongest teams in the league. The last six months, with the exception of the performance in the Global Loot League of Season 3, Liquid showed a stable level. They won the StarSeries & i-League PUBG Season 2 and Polaris Series 2018.

Faze Clan & Red Diamonds

FaZe Clan and Red Diamonds may surprise. FaZe after signing Ivan “ubah” Kapustin shows good results in the championships. Kapustin exhibits an excellent level of shooting, which adds to the European team firepower. It is possible that FaZe will become one of the leaders of the standings.

Red Diamonds is the league’s dark horse. The team formed in November 2018 and was able to take fourth place in the Global Loot League Season 3, in which world-class teams participated, and in Unique League Season 3, the Russian team beat NaVi. Obviously, Red Diamonds does not have enough experience playing in offline tournaments, but with the current stable form of the team, we can say that it will be able to compete for the top spots.
